I started my own business in Michigan in 1972 installing aluminum siding. Over the next 20 years it evolved into a total remodeling company with completion of 15,000 homes. It was rated in the top 100 in the country for size and volume of work. I had over 30 employees, 13 trucks and a large designer showroom. From 1985-1992 my company was the largest installer of Pella windows in the nation.

Soon I realized that such a large business was not for me. I felt that I was no longer able to control the quality of work that was being done. I decided to start over…doing what I do best…working “one on one” with the customers myself. For 10 years after that, I worked solely by customer referrals. I never looked back and I enjoyed my work.

 

Eight years ago I moved to Fort Myers Florida. I bought houses and remodeled them. Unlike a lot of other investors, I knew that when I was done with a house the new owner would not have any problems. My houses were the best on the street when I finished them. However, I missed the actual involvement with the homeowner and seeing their happiness when the job was done. I decided that I wanted to work directly with the customers once again.
